Dinosaur dermatology

In Jurassic Park, it's the stuff that preserved dinosaur DNA. For Japanese cosmetics maker Mikio Yamano, amber is the ingredient to lasting beauty and his company is making a skin product that uses the fossil resin.

Mr Yamano (right) was in town on Tuesday to demonstrate his amber facial treatment. While we're no dermatological experts, we are as suspicious as Jeff Goldblum's character in the movie when it comes to cures and elixirs with amazing claims.

Mr Yamano said he learned about 'the special relaxation effect amber can have' and visited Kaliningrad, Russia, where hospitals use it on pre-surgery patients.

We hope it works better than cloning raptors.
