CBS snaps up Robert Chua's concept

We're not sure how many people actually watch Robert Chua Wah-peng's interactive ITV show on a regular basis, but it seems the American network CBS has taken an interest in his reality show You Be The Judge. The local broadcast innovator licensed the concept to CBS at the Asia TV Forum in Singapore. Similar to American court shows, except the viewing public makes the final decision as the judge in each case, the programme concept was developed in Hong Kong. It was also recently sold to Serbia and another production company is placing it on the BBC. 'I believe it's a first for Hong Kong for an original format to be licensed,' Chua noted.

In the meantime, he's now working on another cross-media game show called You Are History! with contestants in a studio teaming up with viewers to answer questions. Media convergence is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
