After officiating at the lighting of Festival Walk's HK$15 million Swarovski Christmas tree last week, singer Vivian Chow Wai-man is planning a long holiday. 'This is my last job for 2006, and it's a wrap-up of a good year,' Chow said of her comeback. 'I'll have December free and I'm planning to do some shopping to decorate my home. For many years, I spent Christmas overseas, so this year will be especially meaningful with my friends, my boyfriend and his family.'

Chow suggested that having grown up as an only child without a father, the holidays had never held much meaning for her. But she's determined to spread some good tidings now, and this weekend she will fulfil one of her wishes for the year. 'My 2006 resolution was to start a veterinary clinic providing free or low-cost services. This is the reason for my Back for Love concerts earlier this year. I'm glad to say that this wish has come true. The clinic in Sham Shui Po is going to open around December 10. With my free time, I might even volunteer at the clinic, doing things like feeding sick cats.'
