Yet another French jewellery brand has opened up shop in Hong Kong. This time it was Bucheron at the Mandarin Oriental, which opened on Wednesday with the help of a few classy females to lend glamour and pizzazz. Michelle Yeoh Choo-kheng officiated at the ribbon-cutting and then quickly dashed off before the tabloids could pry details from her about her possible marriage to Ferrari Formula One team boss Jean Todt.
But another actress, Eileen Tung Oi-ling (below), had rather more to say. The Taiwan-born, Hong Kong-based star had a baby last year but says it's now time to return to work. 'I'm ready for a fresh start and planning my comeback in the entertainment business,' Tung said. 'I've just signed a new manager and already have some work. My first event will be a charity performance for Buddhists in Beijing where there will be 120,000 people. There's an overseas movie on my agenda too. It's a collaboration between the mainland and Hollywood. I don't know who the director is but was told he will be a well-known one from Hollywood.'
