Hong Kong Coliseum
Tomorrow to Wed and Dec 23-26, 8.15pm
After 20 sell-out comeback concerts last year, veteran singer Paula Tsui Siu-fung will stage another 10 shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum from tomorrow.
Since her debut Mando-pop cover album, Autumn Night, in 1970, the singer has released more than 60 records before her last in 1990. Her hits include classic Mando-pop and Canto-pop tunes such as Season of the Wind, Roast Pork Bun, Flowing in the Natural Direction and Behind the Bridal Gown.
In recent years, there have been re-issues of her old records.
Last year when Tsui announced her comeback concerts fans queued for days to get tickets to watch her first major concerts in a decade.
Born in Wubei, Tsui - famous for her deep voice and glamorous outfits - moved to Hong Kong when she was an infant. Being the eldest child in her family, she dropped out of school when she was in secondary two to help out in the family's small catering business.
