From head to toe

Chanel's new Allure Sensuelle (right) is a re-working of the original Allure fragrance and includes four bath and body products in the same scent. The eau de parfum (HK$380/35ml, HK$865/100ml) is a soft, oriental blend of vanilla, amber patchouli and a musk note. There's bergamot and citrus fruit, rose, jasmine and mandarin, with base notes of frankincense and pink pepper. The shower gel cream (HK$295/200ml), body cream (HK$650/200ml), body lotion (HK$370/200ml) and deodorant (HK$245/100ml) complete the range. Available from Chanel counters.

Darphin's new Stimulskin Plus Rejuvenating Lifting Serum (HK$1,980/30ml) is described as a high potency, daily anti-ageing product to address sagging, lines, dull skin and age spots. It's light, quickly absorbed and contains collagen fragments, avocado oil, calcium, rosemary and astragalus extracts to boost elasticity. Available from Lane Crawford stores in Times Square and Canton Road.

Elizabeth Arden's classic Eight Hour Cream, created in 1930 to soothe skin, is still a popular moisturiser today. Now, the company has introduced an Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Body Treatment (HK$157.50/200ml, right), which is designed to reverse flaking and dryness, leaving skin soft for eight hours. A limited-edition Vintage Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant (HK$94.50/30ml) is also available. The cream can be used on chapped lips, to give shine to eyelids or rubbed into dry hands on long flights. Available from Elizabeth Arden counters.

Aveda's Color Conserve (HK$270/125ml) is an intensive at-home treatment for colour-treated hair. It's said to have three-fold technology to protect colour, strengthen hair and add a reflective shine. This joins the rest of the Color Conserve range, including a shampoo, conditioner and sun protector. Ingredients include sunflower seed and sea buckthorn extract to provide antioxidants and neutralise free radicals formed by UV light. Wintergreen and cinnamon bark help protect from fading, and soy-derived vitamin E helps hold in colour by protecting against pollutants. Peruvian morikue protein helps repair damaged locks, and macadamia nut oils are said to help seal the cuticles. It's scented with organic rose, grapefruit and ylang ylang. After shampooing, smooth the treatment from the roots to the ends and leave on for two to five minutes before rinsing. Use once or twice a week. Available from Aveda Lifestyle Day Spa, 3/F Hing Wai Building, 36 Queen's Rd, Central.

Crabtree & Evelyn's new La Source Extreme Foot Therapy (HK$165/100ml) is a blend of seaweed extract, emollient oils and natural rice flour to comfort feet and moisturise tough heels and troubled toes. To make it work hard, apply generously before bed and slip on cotton socks. Gardeners Creamy Hand Wash (HK$195/200ml, left) combines 25 per cent of the group's best-selling Hand Therapy lotion with gentle exfoliators to slough away dry, over-worked hands and preserve youthful skin. An Aloe Vera After-Sun Spray (HK$275/175ml) is also new to stores. For best results after over-exposure to the sun, spray it on every two hours to cool down the skin. Glycerine in the product also gives a sheen to limbs. Available from Crabtree & Evelyn stores in Seiyu Department Store, Sha Tin, Telford Plaza, Kowloon Bay, Pacific Place, Admiralty, and Jusco Kornhill, Quarry Bay.
