It turns out Michelle Tanmizi is not leaving Hong Kong after all. The co-founder of the health and well-being centre Zama might be trying to sell the business or, failing that, close it down, but she still has her music projects on the go. This week she hinted she may soon become the host of Asia's first salsa radio programme. 'I approached RTHK four or five months ago,' said the part-time DJ. 'Finally, a month ago, they expressed some interest and I just did a pilot. We'll see how it goes.' The pilot should air on RTHK's Radio 3 soon. As for those rumours about her moving abroad, they started because Tanmizi's new man is a salsa promoter in the US. They've decided, however, a long-distance relationship works best. 'He travels as much as I do for work so there's no point in me moving there. We see each other more when we travel to do shows, DJ and attend salsa conferences.' So, regulars can expect Tanmizi's Salsa Monday to continue at the Armani Bar.
