HONG KONG youngsters feel that Ocean Park and Victoria Harbour are the most significant Hong Kong landmarks.
Seeking the opinions of young people from Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou, the Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong conducted a survey to find out which landmarks have the most symbolic value in the three cities.
Co-organised by the Provisional Municipal Council of Macau and the Xiao Nian Gung of Guangzhou, the survey interviewed 5,600 youngsters aged between six and 16.
With 1,756 votes, Ocean Park and the Victoria Harbour were chosen by local youngsters as best representations of Hong Kong.
Chinese white dolphins came in third, with 1,435 youngsters acknowledging their significance.
In Macau, St Paul's Cathedral was crowned the most symbolic landmark.
