New pier smokin'

The new Central Star Ferry Pier is certainly cementing its place as the hot spot for parties and fashion shows. Fendi and Diesel have already used the top floor for events, and on Wednesday Vivienne Westwood has it booked for a spring/summer show and party. Certainly, its spaciousness and distance from any residential area makes the upper deck a good bet for loud music and crowds, plus an open roof terrace means smokers can puff away unabated. The only real drawback for guests is the occasional burst of ferry fumes and, for those who don't have the benefit of a chauffeur, the walk to the pier from Central is a bit of a drag.
