Today-Sun, 8pm
Hong Kong Coliseum
In a city filled with manufactured pop stars, it's refreshing to see a performer recognised for natural talent.
Janice Vidal is one such artist, and after spending years working her way up from the underground club scene, she has reached the Holy Grail of the Hong Kong music industry: a four- night concert series at the Coliseum, where she'll be performing in front of 50,000 people.
Vidal made her name as the silky sweet voice behind a collection of Leon Lai Ming covers two years ago, but has an impressive range covering not only Canto-pop but also soul and R&B.
After leaving school at 16, she launched her music career with twin sister Jill by forming the Vidal Sistaz, who won instant acclaim for laying soaring, soulful vocals over tracks dropped by DJs at clubs from Central to Happy Valley.
