What is it?

A South Korean skincare brand new to Hong Kong that claims to contain only 100 per cent natural ingredients from herbs and botanicals. It's the brainchild of businessman Kim Jong-eg, who created nine different types of cleansing lotions tailored to different skin types. The Nano 8.8 patented technology is now widely used in medical products, cosmetics and textiles.

What's so good about it?

It uses traditional Korean fermentation technology, which the company says is different from the process of using natural herbal extracts. Fermentation can take 18 months and includes open-air and underground storage. All products are recognised by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, and Nanosoul has been named one of the Most Promising Enterprises by the South Korean government. Particles of Nanosoul products developed from Nano 8.8 are as small as 8.8 nanometres (a pore is usually 30,000-50,000nm). The distance between the skin surface and the deeper cell layer is 200nm, which means all the products can easily filter through and be completely absorbed by the deepest layers of the skin. The brand says its anti-ageing range doesn't rely on smart slogans or packaging, 'but it does bring rejuvenating effects and helps eliminate the signs of ageing'.
