Director Tian Zhuangzhuang's  story about a Chinese prodigy who, against the backdrop of the tumultuous Sino-Japanese history of the 20th century, moves to Japan and rises to prominence as the world's top Go board game player Chang Chen,  Sylvia Chang and Ito Ayumi  star. Not reviewed.

Paul Verhoeven  directs this wartime thriller  starring  Carice van Houten  as a young Dutch woman  who joins the resistance against the Nazis. Also stars Sebastian Koch,  Thom Hoffman  and Halina Reijn.  CT

Priceless (IIA) (French)

A waiter (Gad Elmaleh)  at a luxury hotel pretends to be a millionaire to win the love of a bimbo (Audrey Tautou)  who is looking for a rich husband. Also stars Marie-Christine Adam  as a well-to-do widow in her 60s who has her eye on the waiter. Pierre Salvadori  directs. Not reviewed.

Retribution (IIB) (Japanese)

28 Weeks Later (IIB)

200 Pound Beauty (IIA) (Korean)

Korean comedy hit about a fat girl with a beautiful voice who  has a crush on a handsome music producer. A  plastic surgeon turns her into a dazzling beauty. Kim A-joong  and Joo Jin-mo  star.  Kim Yong-hwa  directs. Not reviewed.

Umizaru 2: Limit of Love (IIA) (Japanese)

A Japanese Coast Guard frogman (Hideaki Ito),  haunted by past failures and the emotional strain that accompanies his life-saving job, tries to save 620 panic passengers on a sinking ferry boat and finds his ex-lover (Ai Kato)  is also on board. Eiichiro Hasumi  directs. Not reviewed.

Flower Drums of Fung Yang

Storm over the Yangtze River

Black Bull and White Snake
