Alibaba is expanding internationally and is looking for people who can respect core values Alibaba.com is expanding globally and is looking for a highly motivated senior manager for international business development. The successful candidate will work closely with international trade-related service providers, online media companies and other organisations and will be in charge of identifying, structuring, negotiating and closing strategic partnership and alliance deals. The candidate must also analyse market opportunities and emerging trends, and collect and develop new product ideas. The person must have excellent business acumen, be able to manage continuing partner relationships and develop a strategy for expanding the Alibaba trade service platform. The candidate will be required to work in different departments and countries and will report to the senior director of international business development and marketing. Candidates should be highly organised, capable leaders and able to work independently to co-ordinate projects with engineering, web production, legal, finance and marketing teams to expand website traffic activity and achieve revenue targets. The candidate must fully understand the e-commerce industry and be versatile, productive and focused in a fast-paced team environment. Wilson Lam, Alibaba.com's human resources director, said the person should be able to adapt to the company's culture.
