Every parent thinks their kid is cute enough to be a model. Now, you can compare how your tyke rates against other children. Harbour City is holding an open casting to search for fresh faces for their Rainbow Kids fashion show. Presented in conjunction with Starz Kid, the children's division of Stephen Chau Sai-lung's Starz modelling agency, it's an open call for children in two groups: those aged between three and eight, and baby models under three. Given that most in the toddler category can't strut down a runway just yet, mums will be required to take to the catwalk too.

'The response from the public in the past few years has been overwhelming,' an event spokesman said. 'Last year we took 40 kids in total.'

Applications can be downloaded from www.harbourcity.com.hk, or visit the information centres in the mall. The deadline is July 22. Selected children will still have to participate in a casting session on July 28 and 29, and an open recruitment will also take place on those days between 4pm and 6pm at KidX, Ocean Terminal. If your child is picked, the Rainbow Kids Fashion show will be on August 25 and you'll be well on your way to becoming a pushy showbiz parent.
