There is yet another magazine in town. The ultra-creative hipsters at design house ChinaStylus and photo studio Red Dog have collaborated for Galleri, a catalogue-like magazine featuring the works of local graphic artists, painters, photographers and talent from the visual creative community.

The free issue of only 1,000 copies was launched at a packed party at the Kee Club on Wednesday. From all the models there, it appeared that being impossibly hot was an entry requirement.

However, editors Jay Foss-Cole and Timon Wehrli said their mag - funded out of their own pockets - is not just about cool images; its aim is to showcase ingenious and original local talent.

'People think that to get a good photographer, they have to go to Europe. That's b******t,' Foss-Cole (above) argued. 'There are loads here, people just need a way to find them.'

That's why in the inaugural issue, there are popular Lego-men paintings of artist Kenneth Tsang next to photos by 17-year-old shutter bug Jeff Hahn.

Foss-Cole hinted that future issues might be even more eclectic.
