The Lane Crawford empire continues to expand, with the official opening of the Club Monaco flagship on Queen's Road Central with an in-store cocktail party, followed by a swishy blowout at the Hong Kong Arts Centre's Pao Galleries.

For an extra fashionable punch, they even invited Aussie model-turned-DJ Sky Nellor to play the event.

In Hong Kong for a week prior to hitting the decks on Wednesday night, the leggy stunner in turquoise minidress revealed she was more likely these days to be in the DJ booth than on the catwalk, especially across Asia where she's been spinning a lot of vinyl.

'In Japan, they all jump up and down together,' an animated Nellor explained, arms and hands flailing. 'I try to join them, but it's like 'my heads hurts, I can't'. When I play Malaysia they go crazy, drinking until they fall down. In Shanghai, they all stood there with their camera phones in the air. Okay, the organiser put me 20 feet (6 metres) in the air so they're probably shooting up my dress.'

However, this is the sexy mixer's first trip to Hong Kong, which explains her extended stay to take in the sights and shopping. As befits a fashion princess, her highlight so far is not The Peak, the harbour or the light show. 'You go into IFC and you're in shopping heaven. I love Lane Crawford. I could live there.'
