Every local filmmaker wants to find another Bruce Lee, but Fruit Chan (below) is specifically seeking someone who can play him as a boy. According to Chinese website www.sina.com, Chan is planning a project about the kung fu legend's early years in 1950s Hong Kong. Tentatively titled Kowloon City, the film is to be produced by Terence Chang, who is John Woo's producer.

'I haven't found the person to act the younger version of Bruce Lee yet and searching for that right person has been giving me headaches,' Chan told Oriental Daily. 'I may have a massive open audition in Hong Kong later. If we still can't find the right person, then I will go looking on the mainland. I don't want to start this project until we've found the right person.'

Interestingly, this is not the only film about 'Little Dragon' being planned. It seems Stanley Kwan Kam-ping is also working on a Bruce Lee idea. His project, though, will focus more on the martial arts icon's relationship with his absent father and its influence on his own son, Brandon Lee.

Lastly, China public broadcaster CCTV is producing a 40-episode series on the dragon starring Danny Chan Kwok-kwan, who was in Stephen Chow Sing-chi's movie Shaolin Soccer because he resembled, guess who?
