A student from the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin) won the top prize in a digital card design competition commemorating the 10th anniversary of the handover.
Ng Suk-fan beat contestants from 11 design colleges with her entry which features four adorable panda jugglers performing in a circus.
The bright and vibrant colours in her design represent the festive atmosphere of the auspicious occasion, Ms Ng said.
'The arrival of two new pandas from China stirred up a frenzy in Hong Kong, with locals eager to catch a glimpse of the adorable creatures. Given the wide appeal of pandas, I chose them as the subjects of my design,' she explained.
Winning the top prize in the competition has boosted the visual communication student's confidence.
'It took me only a few hours to come up with the design. I'm glad I had the chance to put what I've learned into practice,' she said.
