Paper collage artists Florence Cheung and Pun Hok-kan have put their combinations of paper, cloth and beads on display at Taikoo Place.
More than 60 colourful mosaics capture their thoughts on life and travel.
Having practised the art for two years, both artists said they were attracted by the flexibility in creating paper collages. 'We can use whatever materials we have on hand. Old rope, scraps of worn-out cloth and discarded bits and pieces can all be used,' they said.
'The only tools needed are scissors and glue,' said Pun, a local artist.
The vibrant mix of colours and strong texture are another attraction.
Pun derives her artistic ideas from everyday objects. 'Many of my works portray plants, animals and the handicrafts I pick up when I travel overseas,' she said.
For Chueng, the vibrant local streetscapes and the hustle and bustle of city living are sources of her artistic inspiration.
