Shock! Horror! Chinese tabloid reporter does her homework!

One of the best pieces of investigative journalism done by the Chinese tabloids lately is discovering that model Lisa Selesner (below) used to date actor Adrian Brody, before he became famous and before his Oscar.

Although it's a bit of personal information Selesner never tried to hide, she's never publicised it either. The truth is Selesner - currently the main squeeze of another actor, Daniel Wu Yin-cho - is a little surprised someone managed to dig up this trivia from her past.

'I was shocked and I thought they have done their homework. As you know, a lot of the Hong Kong reporters don't do their homework,' Selesner said at Fairton's Tsim Sha Tsui event on Tuesday.

'The woman [reporter] told me that she found out through someone in New York. I was actually surprised. Someone actually took the time out to find something out about me.'

The fact is the split was amicable but, no, she's not still in contact with the Oscar winner, who thrust himself on Halle Berry when he walked on stage to accept his prize for The Pianist.

'Oh gosh! It was over a decade ago, before he was famous. Our relationship ended around the time when he acted in [1998's] The Thin Red Line. He was living in Los Angeles and I was living in New York City.
