They're looking for 'role models' who have achieved or contributed in a way that matches the earnest theme - to 'push the limit for better life'. Ten shortlisted individuals will then be the subject of a public vote to determine the two final selections. Yes, only two torch-bearers will be selected in this way, which is a bit thrifty on Samsung's part considering it is apparently entitled to select 1,500 torch-bearers worldwide. No doubt, the bulk will be offered to their own people, clients, celebrities and high profile VIPs, but come on, surely they can offer more than just two spots for Hong Kong and Macau? Don't be so cheap.
