Well, the secret is out. Yes, the next Batman movie will be partially shot in Hong Kong. CitySeen has been aware of this for a while, but just as Alfred kept Bruce Wayne's identity under wraps, we were sworn to secrecy. But now we can reveal some details about the Warner Bros' production of The Dark Knight coming in November. Confirmed sources said, yes, they will be shooting scenes in Central. However, they will not be along the Mid-Levels escalator as suggested. Instead, the IFC complex will be the setting of a major outdoor stunt. Also, no roads will be closed for the shoot, but there might be some 'temporary traffic inconveniences' when the camera rolls. Furthermore, the Peninsula Hotel will also be used for some scenes. In other news from the bat cave, only stars Christian Bale and Morgan Freeman will arrive for shooting. Michael Caine will not be joining them. Best of all, our locations will not be standing in for Gotham City. Instead, part of the story has explicitly been set in Hong Kong. For trivia fans, this means it is the first time Batman will show himself in a city other than Gotham.
