The highest levels of excellence are expected in a newly created job with a world-class lounge.

Peninsula Clubs and Consultancy Services, which provide management services to Cathay Pacific Lounges, is looking for a high-calibre executive assistant manager to be responsible for all service aspects of the business and first-class lounges at the airport.

The appointee will assist the general manager and 'direct the management team towards achieving the highest possible standards of service within the parameters of an established budget, while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction at all times,' said Janice Wong Yim-mui, director of operations, Peninsula Clubs and Consultancy Services.

The candidate must have strong customer orientation, excellent judgment and the ability to interact with people from all walks of life. The executive assistant manager must maintain poise at all times and remain composed under pressure.

'This role is key to the operation's success,' Ms Wong said. 'The appointee works with all the employees to deliver the highest level of customer service to a very demanding, discerning clientele, a crucial sector of the airline's customers,' she said.

The candidate should have a degree in hospitality management and specific training in food and beverage, housekeeping and management disciplines.

'This is a new position, one that we have determined is a vital part of the service delivery process at the lounges,' Ms Wong said.
