Every film award has its own set of rules and some are very political. But that's the rules for this game. I don't feel sorry for Ang Lee because I know he didn't make the film for awards. The hardest thing for a director to do is to actually make a film. It doesn't really matter whether it wins nominations or not. His movie has already gained recognition from people all over the world. It is already an honour for the Chinese people.
