Another day, another concert announcement - or two. Opera great Placido Domingo  will be coming for a night of arias  on March 1 to the AsiaWorld Arena.  The 66-year-old is now arguably the biggest name in the world of tenors after his rival/friend Luciano Pavarotti's  recent death.
The performance won't be cheap though. The top seats are HK$3,880, plus more reasonable tickets at HK$1,980, HK$980 and some for HK$580. For more information, contact Wolfman Jack Entertainment  at 2882  1689.
Also just announced is a gig with Key West's favourite's beach bum, Jimmy Buffett (right). Mr Margaritaville will be here on January 18 at the  Hong Kong Football Club's Sports Hall. His Hong Kong debut is a charity show for the Foreign Correspondents' Club's JP Morgan Language Training Centre, which teaches English and Putonghua  to children at the Po Leung Kuk Orphanage.
It's HK$1,500 for all Parrotheads (that's what Buffett fans are called) and it includes food and two (what else?) margaritas. Dinner starts at 7.30pm, Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band  starts jamming at 9.30pm. Call the Foreign Correspondents' Club at 2521  1511  or e-mail banquet@fcchk.org.
