X-Rite, a leader in colour measurement and management, offering hardware, software and services for measuring, formulating and matching colours, needs a director of sales for its Greater China region offices.
'This is a key role that will help bring the Greater China business to the next level of success based on the good foundation that has been built in the past decade, and the doubling of business size as a result of the merger between X-Rite and GretagMacbeth in 2006,' said William Lam Wai-chung, vice-president of sales, Greater China and Southeast Asia.
Key responsibilities include developing a professional selling organisation to foster aggressive growth plans, developing a sales team and managing regional distribution channels.
'The director of sales is a senior position and is responsible for managing all sales related activities in the Greater China region that are currently being covered by four regional sales offices - Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing,' he said.
Someone with at least five years of direct selling experience, and at least eight years of managing a sales organisation and distribution channels, is sought.
Aside from strong sales and negotiation skills, well developed interpersonal skills are an important asset and the person should have an assertive but non-abrasive style.
