Winners included model Philip Huang, pianist Yundi Li, Carina Lau Ka-ling, Wong Kar-wai, Shu Qi and the Volar/Halo foursome of Benedict and Jaime Ku, Ray Ng and Ina Yip. The most poignant moment was Banyan Tree chairman Ho Kwon-ping recalling how living in Lamma's Yung Shue Wan inspired him to launch his opulent holiday escapes.

Guests were treated to a ribbon dance by British troupe Optioscopes and a three-piano performance of Flight of the Bumble Bee by Phoebus Chan Chun-hin, Dennie Wong and Cedric Chan Ho-fung.

Among those attending were Allan Zeman, Island Shangri-La general manager Franz Donhauser, Eleanor Morris, the Hong Kong Philharmonic's Joseph Wong and the Post's editor C.K. Lau and managing director Nancy Valiente.
