Policeman, wife arrested for beating maid

A policeman and his wife, both 27, were arrested in their Tuen Mun home for assaulting their domestic helper. An agent for the Indonesian woman, Tri, 23, said she had been repeatedly beaten in the six months since she had been hired because the couple said she did not take proper care of their daughter. The agent called police after finding Tri, who had facial wounds, had been imprisoned in the Siu Lun Court flat on Saturday.
