Glitch delays Guangzhou trains

A Guangzhou-Kowloon train arrived at Hung Hom at 9pm last night having been held up for more than 31/2 hours by a technical fault. A train that left Guangzhou for Hung Hom at 5pm was also held up. Two other trains were cancelled. About 1,500 passengers were affected. The MTR Corp arranged coaches and extra trains to get passengers to their destinations. Xinhua reported a large number of passengers were stranded at Guangzhou East and Shenzhen.
