More than two weeks since arriving in Hong Kong to 'seek justice' for Vicenta Flores, Irene Flores-Reguis said she was no closer to unravelling what had happened to her sister.

Flores fled her employers' house in Discovery Bay barefoot and dressed in her pyjamas on April 7. Her body was found floating off Tung Chung pier on April 11.

An initial postmortem examination found the cause of death was drowning.

Ms Reguis, 33, said she was given a copy of a preliminary police report by the Philippine consulate on April 22.

Police later showed her a yellowing piece of paper found among her sister's belongings. 'The police asked me what it was. I said I do not know as the typed words were in Latin. It was undated,' Ms Reguis said.

She was asked whether her sister knew a man who could have exerted some 'cult-like' influence.
