Trial therapy: Dermalogica customised facial

What is it?

A 75-minute Indulge facial using Dermalogica products, aimed at improving skin condition and which promises a visible result. It was recommended by the therapist after I filled out a form listing some of my worry spots: loss of elasticity, dehydration and some rosacea.

What did it involve?

After thorough cleansing and toning, the therapist went through a quick round of extractions before giving the face a thorough massage to stimulate the lymph nodes. After that, she applied a multivitamin mask as well as a warm oatmeal mask to rehydrate the skin. I also requested a Vital Eyes treatment to hydrate the eyes. The therapist also took a little time to shape my brows and moisturise my lips.

How was the treatment?

The spa has two locations. I had my treatment at Retreat @ Bodywize, just round the corner from the main shop, and it was comfortable and quiet. The therapist was very good, explaining my skin condition and the different treatments available and took me through the steps of the therapy. One of the best parts of the facial was the massage, which was vigorous but relaxing.
