An exciting opportunity has arisen to build on past construction experience and solidify a career path with a Hong Kong industry body.

The Construction Industry Council is hiring a centre manager on a contract basis to help supervise its training centre operations. Reporting to the director (training) and senior manager, the centre manager is responsible for devising, implementing and overseeing training programmes and trade test contents and procedures conducted there. The job will also involve liaising with industry representatives to provide tailored training courses and collecting user feedback for revising or enhancing training and testing programmes to meet market needs and new regulations in force.

The centre manager will be charged with publicising and promoting the council's training activities and trade tests and will co-ordinate research on workers' safety awareness and other relevant topics. This role suits a graduate of mechanical/electrical engineering or construction related disciplines who has more than eight years of construction industry experience, with three or more years gained in an administrative role. Candidates with corporate membership of a construction related professional institution are preferred.
