Training expert sought by e-commerce company

Carmen Tao

A golden opportunity has arisen for individuals with competent training skills and an appetite for fresh challenges. A company that fosters the productivity and competitiveness of Hong Kong through the provision of trade-related electronic commerce is seeking a new assistant manager - training service.

Tradelink maintains an electronic gateway between the trading community and the Hong Kong government for the provision of government electronic trading services.

'The challenge of this position is to understand our new services and products and get a good grasp of their key functions, and how they performed in a short period of time - and then prepare the necessary training materials for customers,' said Tradelink's deputy chief executive officer Emily Chung.

The new recruit must have professional knowledge of defining customers' and training requirements, and an understanding of planning training capacity and resources and the delivery of training classes. Duties also include working with the organisation's authorised training centres to certify their training class and ensure training quality.

'Candidates should be able to develop new training classes and related training materials for our new products and services,' Ms Chung said. 'Quality training materials should [also] be developed to meet the company's new development [and] enhance Tradelink's customer services.'

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary education with sound written English and Cantonese, and good presentation and teaching skills. Knowledge of and experience in logistics and e-commerce is a distinct advantage.
