Company wants director who can take on 'Goliath'

Carmen Tao

A leader in connectivity solutions for computer, electronics and mobile customers is looking for a marketing expert who is unafraid of 'taking on Goliath while having fun at the same time', according to the company.

Belkin Corporation is inviting creative individuals to apply for the position of director integrated marketing at its growing regional headquarters in Hong Kong.

The ideal candidate should be a tertiary educated MBA-holder, with a minimum of eight years of experience in consumer product goods, marketing, consulting, brand management - from positioning, re-positioning, growing to defending a brand - and investment banking or related fields.

Liaising with internal and external parties, the director of integrated marketing is responsible for leading a team to drive marketing pricing, build new business, plan and lead product launches, head development of creative briefs, handle distribution and merchandising channel strategies and help market and grow the Belkin portfolio of brands.

A passion for branding and understanding of consumer trends is beneficial as the position holder will need to take an integrated approach to marketing strategies and plans - advertising, direct mail, customer and retail promotions, new concept development - and analyse the market to develop global marketing plans. Candidates with excellent communication skills, strong organisational and analytical skills and the motivation to excel and make a difference are preferred.

Belkin is a privately held company founded in California in 1983.
