It's not just Martin Scorsese and Hollywood that have their eyes on recycling classic Hong Kong movies.

A South Korean production house has just announced it will remake a 1990 Andy Lau Tak-wah romantic action flick.

A Moment of Romance, originally directed by a young Benny Chan Muk-sing and produced by Johnnie To Kei-fung, will be remade by Dreamchild Korea with director Kim Jung-woo.

The bad boy meets good girl story set in Hong Kong's turbulent triad society was a big hit in its day, particularly for the ending shot of Lau riding his motorcycle with his girl Jacklyn Wu Chien-lien leaning forlornly on his back (pictured).

For added regional star power to this new Korean language version, the producers are trying to secure Taiwanese pop king Jay Chou Jie-lun to do the original soundtrack.
