A global technology solutions provider is offering an on target earnings package of HK$2million for a sales dynamo to drive its regional sales.

Angus Washington, managing director of specialist recruitment firm Inspire Executive, is handling this key appointment of vice-president sales, Asia-Pacific.

'It's a newly created role and gives someone the opportunity to really have an impact and make this position, and the region, their own by driving their own thoughts and ideas,' Mr Washington said. 'They will be responsible for the full sales function, driving strategy through to execution of deals.'

Reporting to the Asia-Pacific managing director, the vice-president is also responsible for the region's budgets and revenue, and leading a team of 20 geographically dispersed sales personnel. This team will be responsible for servicing existing clients and maximising cross-selling opportunities.

The position can be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore and involves about 20 per cent travelling time throughout Asia-Pacific.

Mr Washington encouraged candidates with degrees and more than 15 years of work experience to apply. High-energy sales professionals, with outstanding communication and negotiation skills to deal with C-level executives, stand a good chance of landing the job. 'We need a candidate who has proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of sales professionals ... someone with experience in IT [information technology] networking selling to financial services institutions regionally.'
