What's happening with new spas?
The new Let'spa has decided to pack in a basement level, mid-to-high-end spa that caters to everything from foot massages to facials, bust treatments and waxing in Wan Chai.
Is it similar to a massage chain outlet?
No, it's quite an oasis of floral scents, pristine fixtures and top-notch beauty brands. It is in the midst of frantic Lockhart Road, so it would seem a more likely place to find a production line massage centre. But Let'spa has touches of modern luxury and a quirky attention to design detail and private showers in all rooms meaning it can compete with some of the more luxurious offerings in town.
What was the treatment?
The foot reflexology (HK$360 for 50 minutes) treatment, called the Sweet Treat Footsie. The masseuse used Alqvimia Comfort Legs Body Oil, which is made up of tea tree oil (a natural antibacterial), lavender (to relax), sage and coriander (deodorising and purifying oils). It starts with a foot scrub and is said to eliminate water retention and revitalise tired legs.
