Fresh from scoring multiple awards at the Grammys ceremony on Sunday, Coldplay will bring their best rock album of the year, Viva la Vida, to the AsiaWorld-Arena next month for one night, March 25, promoter Live Nation has announced. The band also won song of the year (for Viva la Vida) and best pop performance by a duo or group. You have a week to save up for the tickets, which are HK$480, HK$780 and HK$980, and they go on sale next Tuesday at HK Ticketing and Tom Lee outlets. We're pretty sure this one will sell out. Another English act coming soon is Craig David, returning on Monday, April 6, to the Hitec Star Hall in Kowloon Bay. This dude is only 27 with four CDs to his name, but he's already on a greatest hits tour. There's something wrong with that. Anyway, tickets are HK$380 and HK$580 to see the Slicker Than Your Average singer, and they go on sale on Thursday. A closer gig is this Valentine Saturday. Singaporean musician Hanjin will bring some raw jazz to the Diesel store at 20 Queen's Road Central at 2.30pm and 4.30pm for pre-album release performances. His CD Raw Jazz comprises classic standards featuring local players Jason Cheng, Paul Candelaria and Skip Moy. You may recognise Hanjin's name from his work with local singer Jacky Cheung Hok-yau on his 1998 CD No Regret. Check with the Diesel store for tickets.
