Most Hongkongers have a relationship with their landlord that can be described as diplomatic at best. Often, one is trying to accuse the other of ripping them off or arguing about rent rates and payments. Not singer Joyce Lee Lok-sze.

The new mum gave birth to a 2.95kg boy named Maxton Lee recently, and she and husband Ted celebrated their baby's first month last week (pictured). They also just decided on the baby's Chinese name - Lee Yin-hay. Only, it didn't come from the grandparents or even some relative.

'We weren't sure how to work out a name because our Chinese is really bad,' Lee said. 'So, we tried to find a good person to ask. We thought we should ask someone who has been lucky to us. Then we thought of a perfect person. Since we moved to our home, three lucky things have happened. We got married, Ted got a new job and we just had a cute and healthy baby boy. We should totally ask our landlord. She was very honoured. Better than getting a fung shui guy, eh?'

Totally. And what a perfect excuse to ask for a cut in rent.
