It looks as if hip photographer Wing Shya will make his cinematic debut with Hong Kong's answer to Love Actually. He is co-directing a project called Hot Summer Days with Chinese-American screenwriter Tony Chan Kwok-fai, and they held a simultaneous, two-city press conference on Tuesday at the W Hotel to give it an advance plug.

Featuring six storylines of love in different Asian cities, it features an all-star cast, including Barbie Hsu Hsi-yuan, Nicholas Tse Ting-fung, Jacky Cheung Hok-yau, Rene Liu Ruo-ying, Angelababy, Vivian Hsu Jo-hsuan and Daniel Wu Yin-cho, as well as appearances by Shawn Yue Man-lok, Charlene Choi Cheuk-yin and Gordon Liu Chia-hui. It is set for release just after Valentine's Day, on February 18.

While Wing (second from left), with Barbie Hsu (left), Tse and Angelababy, was at the W, co-director Chan was in Beijing with other cast members and everyone conversed through a satellite link. Unfortunately, the line wasn't too reliable and the connection broke several times as Wu talked about his role as a sushi chef and the training he enjoyed.

That left Tse, who is soon to be a father again, as the centre of attention. The actor had earlier confirmed that his wife, Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi, was due to have their second child soon.

'Cecilia is fine,' an excited Tse said. 'She is in good shape now and spends most of her time with my son, Lucas. We will find out the baby's gender in the next two weeks.'
