Are you the type that wants to see shows at the Hong Kong Arts Festival every year but always puts off actually buying tickets until it's too late? Well, consider this an official reminder, because the festival announced that more than 50,000 tickets have been sold during its six-week advanced booking period. That's roughly 55 per cent of all the seats for all the shows.

Starting tomorrow, over-the-counter booking will begin at Urbtix outlets. For shows at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Star Hall, you can also purchase at HK Ticketing outlets.

Due to the overwhelming response, the festival has even added nine additional performances to six different programmes, including three more shows of the new play The Truth About Lying, written and co-directed by Wong Wing-sze and Lee Chun-chow (pictured, centre), starring Law Koon-lan (left) and Wong Wai-chi (right). Other supplementary shows added include two performances of Naamyam - Songs of Love and Lament, another evening of Li Chuanyun's on solo violin and una mas Cafe de los Maestros tango music concert.
