'Guitar god' Pao breezes along amid drive to introduce new Gran Turismo at party

One of the treats at the Maxalto opening was having local jazz great Eugene Pao perform with singer Angelita Li. Well, it was deja vu about an hour later because Pao turned up again across the harbour to play BMW's party at Spasso previewing their new 5 Series Gran Turismo. To see the guitar god jam twice in one night was a treat. However, it's probably a depressing comment on our live music scene that he has to take so many corporate gigs.

Anyway, the car launch was a big hit. A combination of food and drinks, a chilled outdoor venue, and a fancy new car - not to mention Pao playing Breezin' like a George Benson jam - ensured plenty of folks hung around Kowloon longer than they usually would. The paparazzi were happy, too, as they had a few fresh faces to snap. Recruited to sell the car were Marie Zhuge, Taiwan hearthrob Ethan Juan Ching-tien and model du jour Jessica Cambensy.
