CitySeen loves its readers but we have to say a few of you are just out of your mind. Some of your answers for our little contests are always witty but last week's ticket giveaway for the opening night of Queen - It's A Kinda Magic (next Tuesday at the Lyric Theatre) inspired a few imaginative responses that had us in chuckles and shaking our heads in disbelief (in a good way). The question was 'who would you like to see play Queen singer Freddie Mercury in a movie of his life?'
Among serious thespians proposed were Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Antonio Banderas, Daniel Day-Lewis and Hugh Jackman. The more bizarre suggestions included Sacha Baron Cohen, Adam Sandler and last year's American Idol finalist Adam Lambert. We couldn't tell whether some were serious suggestions or not; would you line up at a cinema to see Ben Affleck or Bruce Willis belt out Bohemian Rhapsody? Yes, it probably would be entertaining.
