Five charged after pistol seized in police raid

Five men aged between 36 and 50 will appear in Kowloon City Court today after police seized a Brazilian-made 9mm semi-automatic pistol and seven rounds of ammunition in a raid on a cafe at Lai Kok Shopping Centre in Sham Shui Po on Saturday. They were charged with conspiracy to shoot or attempt to shoot, or wound or strike with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Police said earlier they had foiled a clash between two factions of a triad society.
