'Superbug' case confirmed in 29-year-old woman

A 29-year-old woman was said to be in a stable condition after health authorities confirmed she had been infected with the superbug known as community-associated methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus. It is believed to be the first case this year. The Centre for Health Protection issued an alert after confirming the case in the woman from the Southern district, who was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital on May 25. She was transferred to Tung Wah Hospital on June 2.
