Taiwanese actress Cherrie Ying Choi-yi plans to reduce her workload later this year to prepare for motherhood.
'After the TV drama series [Hou Shanghai Tan] is over I may take fewer jobs. I want to keep my body fit and healthy, firstly, for our wedding banquet at the end of this year and secondly, to have a baby,' says Ying, who married Hong Kong actor Jordan Chan Siu-chun (below left with Ying) in Las Vegas on Valentine's Day.
Ying says they will host a banquet for family and friends in Hong Kong later this year. 'People say arranging the seating plan is painful, so I'll discuss the details with my husband when he comes back. I can't handle it by myself,' says Ying, whose film debut was in Fulltime Killer in 2001.
The couple will fly to South Africa to catch some World Cup matches, although Ying is a little worried about security. 'We've heard that people get robbed in taxis. Maybe we won't take too much cash. But I think you can't have too little because if they find that you don't have enough money, they might beat you up,' she says.
