Even before she became a top model, Jennifer Tse Ting-ting had long been in the spotlight thanks to her family. She is the daughter of veteran actor Patrick Tse Yin and actress Deborah Lee, and younger sister of actor Nicholas Tse Ting-fung. She's now about to join the rest of the family on the big screen after signing to Wong Jing's film production company earlier this year. The 23-year-old recently finished working on her debut movie, the biopic Bruce Lee, My Brother, to be released next month. Tse plays the kung fu legend's first love in the movie, directed by Raymond Yip Wai-man and Manfred Wong Man-chun.

How was it making your first movie?

It was amazing. I'll probably never forget the experience. I'm so lucky to have worked with such a great group of people. We were like a family. It didn't feel like work at all; it was like being on holiday.

I've been on movie sets before. I visited the set where my boyfriend [Andy On Chi-kit] was working. I've seen the dynamics among other crews and how they work very hard, very professionally. I was lucky to have had this start to my movie career. He [On] didn't really want me to go into acting, especially the fight scenes, because he's seen so much in the industry and he's afraid that I'll get hurt.

I'm glad that I have people to warn me about things, to tell me what to watch out for. But I also want to try new things and not be held back. Lately, I've been learning the basics of boxing. I've agreed with the film company that eventually I'll do a fight movie.

Did you choose your role in the film?
