Watchdog probes data leak

The privacy watchdog has launched a compliance check into a leak of personal data relating to the Labour Department's Interactive Employment Service website. During an upgrading exercise on Monday, 220 users' names and passwords were sent out to unauthorised users over 55 minutes. Among them, 51 accounts were found to have been logged into on the day but no amendments were made. The passwords of all affected users were reset.
