Gaga's HK tweet and picture cause a stir

She had dark circles under her eyes and was without the purple dress that she wore to greet fans on Saturday night, but Lady Gaga seemed no less thrilled about being in Hong Kong.

The diva posted a picture of her make-up-free self on Twitter yesterday, saying: 'Exhausted after Hong Kong spin class! I love this city, you can work out & buy a fake Birkin on the same street.'

The low-key picture and tweet were re-posted on her Facebook page later in the day, with fans 'liking' the post at a rate of 1,050 clicks a minute. In just under an hour, almost 50,000 fans had hit the 'like' button on the post.

Fans commented from all over the world, saying the pop star looked tired, ugly and 'devil-like'. But others defended her from the barbs.

'I have so much respect for this woman, she's not afraid of any of you who hate on her,' one fan tweeted.

Another said: 'You're absolutely gorgeous, but you look so tired! Get some sleep.'
