Björn Fägersten is the director of the Europe programme and a senior research fellow at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. His research deals with European affairs, security cooperation and political risk management. He has a PhD in political science from Lund University, Sweden, and has held research fellowships at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and at the European University Institute.
